Shared Mission

Shared Mission

Our Catholic school is part of the Catholic Church. We work in partnership with our local parish and priests in order to enrich the spiritual life of the students, staff and families of our school, especially through the celebration of the Sacraments.

St Aidan's Catholic Primary School Maroubra Junction Shared MissionSacraments are the signs of God’s love in our lives and a way for us to receive spiritual grace. They also celebrate and mark important milestones in our faith journey.

The Sacramental program at St Aidan’s Catholic Primary School Maroubra Junction is family-centred and parish-based. Families are invited to take an  active role in their child’s preparation for the Sacraments. The school works with the Sacramental team and also supports students Sacramental preparation through the Religious Education program.

Generally students prepare and receive Sacraments in the following grades:

  • Year 3: Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation)
  • Year 3: Sacrament of the Eucharist (First Communion)
  • Year 6: Sacrament of Confirmation.

Students regularly attend Reconciliation and Eucharist throughout the year and celebrate whole school Masses on special days.
